Official Weight of S1 with Aircon

I need some document from Lotus stating the weight of the S1 Exige when fitted with aircon.

Anyone any ideas where I can get this ?

Mine was corner weighted at Nitron! Standard car, 1/2 tank diesel…

795 KG!!!

A/C is BLOODY heavy!!!

805 here, all standard with A/C and 30-33 ltr. in a tank
front/rear: 42/58

Thanks guys but I need an official paper from Lotus …

There y’go fella

Superb, Timothy

And here’s the air conditioner…

PMSL at both!

Well, 795 kg and 805 kg… there seems to be some folk talk about how ‘light’ S1 Exiges really are! There is no way the A/C weighs 100 kg!!!

SO is diesel

I have both A/C and a heavy-weight battery (15kg).

Probably some granny sucking some eggs here but, the manual says 785 Kg (but that is presumably without aircon) I think that is the only official Lotus document that lists a kerb weight. None of the supplements seem to cover it.

I can send you a .pdf of that section if need be.

Christ that’s heavy. Mine (non/AC) was 764kg brimmed full on corner scales when stock. A good 20kg lighter now.

Yes, BUT gravity in NZ is only 8.9 m/s-1 mate …

… reduced by all those sheep!

Aah gotcha!

Hey Andy,
I have an original Technical Data handbook in the green folder Publication part no D111T0324 page 81 shows Unladened weight 785Kg including a full tank of fuel. No aircon in mine though I could scan and mail to you??
Chris Mayhew

Hey Chris, Thanks but I already have the 785 number from the original handbook.
I need to get as higher weight as possible as there is now an advisory about maximum cc/kg increase when you make an engine change here … not BHP … utter stupidity.
I’m probably ok as this is to stop someone putting a 7L V8 in a Holden Cruze really … just another piece of red tape.

Mine is 785kg +1/2 tank of fuel and air-con but I have carbon seats, front splitter and rear spoiler etc.

How many KG’s does the Honda engine add over the K? (I’m sure this is VERY well documented somewhere  )

Naughty boy!
I’m going to get mine(no aircon) weighed at a local builders’ merchants weighbridge when the rain stops and the sun comes out
