I sold half a dozen or so of the c/f 260 ones for £750 each. They did need painting and all the seals mind, just a bare roof.
Myself Id be looking to pay no more than £1k tops and that is only if it were in the correct colour ready for me to just to bolt straight on with all seals and trim etc, I’d be looking to deduct £150-200 if it was in the wrong colour.
Buyers market in second hand lotus bits at the minute, how much is it up for? How long has he had it for sale…
It’s up for £1200 but it’s wrong colour so would need new seals and painting etc. And it’s not properly up for sale yet as it hasn’t been advertised.
too much, youll be into £1500 for it…
Yep your prob right as Heaton park said about £250 to paint it.
Whilst I think they are ‘worth’ around £1100-£1200, when I come to sell mine I’d expect to market it at around the £900 mark as it will need repainting (unless the buyer also has a Cadena Exige!).
They do look the business though
Would love love one of these but a grand is just not worth the vanity!
Is it been offered privately or from on of our ‘friendly breakers’ H’Hmmmmmmmm??
Was mentioned on seloc that he may be selling it but currently on holiday so hasn’t been advertised yet.
CN had a mould and converted existing roof to the long scoop for about £750.
Boothy the Boat had one done.
Lol I have one in CF which I cut the scoop off…I’m a bad boy. Seriously though I’d go the CN route rather than fight over an original, you’d never tell.
For 35 quid the jammsint solution is pretty worthy imo
I had the CN’s done too, highly recommended, a perfect OEM finish!
Is CN still open as lotus dealer, I noticed lotus isn’t on the web homepage anymore.
They are not doing vehicle sales but servicing and running down spares I believe
If I was able to get new roof do you think my original would have any resale value or would it be worth keeping in case I ever sold the car.
Deffo keep it .
Dealers run away from modded cars.
Standard roofs have very little value on the used market, say £500 tops, but think about it, who needs another standard roof? Maybe if your car has been upside down at some point, you’d be looking to replace the roof, but if that’s the case, there’s a strong chance you won’t be fixing it at all.
Possible use for those converting an Elise to Exige, but again limited audience.
I’d keep the original
