I’ve fitted AP discs to my car and have left on the pagid RS14’s that it came with. Should I really put on new pads or will these used ones be fine.
Or should I just take them out and sand them down a bit to create a new surface? Ta
They should be perfectly fine provided the pads dont look as if they have worn unevenly in any way and the old discs are not showing signs of uneven wea either…
You may need to give them a light tickle with a bit of something course perhaps to take any glazing off the surface of them. If I am on a track day I usually clean them up just by rubbung them on the pavement/tarmac/kerb stone.
