Mr P,
I’d be delighted to chauffeur you in th’exige or Mrs T’s Audi.
We cd even cram her in the back of the said TT!
Cheers Steve - that could well indeed be a good plan (apart from Mrs T being crammed in - bless!).
We’ll speak towards the end of next week.
Thanks again.
Look fwd to hearing from you. Just watching X fACTOR, MUST DASH!!!
Is anyone still interested in this?
Let me know, and let me have an email address if you want me to send you Spectator Info.
I did explain to Rob that not much of this is Exige territory and the competitive sections are off road but access roads might be OK.
I’m up for this too Mike.
Will call you Friday Tim
Hi Mike,
I’m still v.interested. Will PM my email address.
Many thanks,
Thommo
Guys,
We’ve had a server crash (Network card) crash at work this morning and I am now on my way North so I cannot log in from the office at the moment which is where the files are that you need. If I can log in at the hotel tonight I will do so and email the info but if all else fails, I’ll have hard copy spectator info at the Wheatsheaf Inn, Lorton on Saturday morning.
Trials sections open at 0900 and we’ll be signing-on in the Wheatsheaf from 0800.
Sorry Chaps, not going to be able to join you on Saturday after all - only because I’ve been invited to eldest son’s on Friday night/Saturday.
I’m continuing to make good progess - one hour, 3.5 mile walk this morning to my GP surgery - all in order
Hope you have a great time in & around Honister - pics if you remember, please
That’s a pity Mr P. I still hope to get up there and will take some pics if I can.
Best wishes for your continued re-cuperation.
How did it go ladz? Did 6970 bring the sarnies? Where are the pics?
Got some pics, lots of em, but new phone technology has so far defeated me.Hope to have them up in a day or two.
But briefly, a great day out with Tim_Marra and 6970K. Glorious weather and some amazing cars. Who in their right mind would drive a Bugatti up tracks that a rally car would stuggle on?
Thommo
Sounds brill - really, really sorry not to have joined you guys.
Did you get chance to have a chat with Major Stripe, & the Majorette?
Only briefly. The Major spotted us loitering aimlessly by the side of the road . . .
Here is, I hope, a link to some pics.
Seems to work, look out for posh totty in second pic.
VSCC members seem to specialise in daft hats, although none in evidence here.
I found them at Buttermere Old Road Section (to be honest I spotted the cars first and then those nice exigers) and from the photos they obviously made it to Drumhouse as well. Glad you enjoyed it chaps!
I spent most of the afternoon in the forest up from Bassenthwaite in the Subaru - on official business of course. Great fun for me and I was working! There must have been a thousand people in the pub at the end of the event.
While at Drumhouse I was interviewed by Border TV - apparently it goes out in the 6o’clock slot on Monday if you want a laugh. (edited to add that it actually went out on Sunday - available on ITVPlayer if you are really bored…)
Fab - thanks for the update
A few more photos HERE
And good ones, too.
Oh, i dunno Steve. I have a picture of a man in a hat somewhere…
