well im off to the ring in may, had a hotel lined up and - strange person at hotel has said they will put us up in a b&b not the hotel we were paying for!
obviously this is not good enough, any suggestions of places to stay near the ring with lockable garages (wouldnt dream of leaving the s outside!) and en-suite rooms for around 70 euros/night??

I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s very common to book via a hotel be put up in a guesthouse, I’ve never had one that wasn’t at least equal to a hotel, and it’s not unusual to get a garage too.
But even so, I wouldn’t worry about leaving your car about there, the area is teaming with Porsche GTs, BMW CSLs and the like and crime is very rare.
