Anyone know how many S1 Exiges are left in the UK?
Search didn’t come up with anything (before you suggest)
Of the 600 made, approx 400 were RHD.
Simon at Brooke-K reckons they’ve exported about 200 to Japan! (sounds slightly optimistic to me!!)
Leaving 200, of which say 20 have been written off.
Complete and utter guesswork leads me to about 180!
Collectors item if you ask me.
I guessed about 150, but was questioned as to that being far too low.

A more thorough search (get Fiona on the job next time ) here would reveal that 275 (or 278?) S1’s were registered in the UK during 2000 & 2001. For use on the UK roads, they had to be registered by 31st Dec 2001, otherwise they fell foul of the emissions laws.
The figure was obtained from the Govt’s official registration data.
Don’t know how many have been written off, but a figure of 20 sounds reasonable to me (what does anybody else think?)

Definately a future classic, and worth hanging onto I reckon.
There’s also probably a dozen or so exported out to the states and continental europe. And maybe a similar number converted to Motorsport spec. Something I was going to do to my Exige, but it was too good a condition to start chopping up so I traded it in for a Motorsport. Couldn’t afford to have both unfortunately
So we’re talking 250 not 150 then. Still not that many, so should start to see the price go up soon ?
Has been discussed before - if we all get together as a cartel, we can effectively control the values of our cars!

Not sure if its still here…but this site used to have a database of chassis numbers, who owned them, etc
