Don’t take this the wrong way…but…why would you want to upload a picture of a Stratos replica into a thread labelled “Exige - Owners Cars”?

Even more to the point why would you expect anyone would want to see it - its not exactly what i was hoping to see when I saw a new posting…grumble over

Anyway welcome…I hope you have some Exige related posts up your sleeves!

A couple of pics of the real deal…sorry they’re not proper action shots. The owner driver had completed his runs before I got the camera sorted.

If you’re anywhere near the North, the owner runs the car every year at the Barbon Hill Climb (near Kirby Lonsdale) in early - mid May.

Don’t think you can upload a photo to here from your hard disk. It has to be already hosted somewhere on the net. Then you can copy the URL from there and, when you post on here, click on the “Image” button in the “Instant UBB Code” section below where you write your reply. HTH.

Stratos was a dream car for me. Has your replica got Alfa or Lancia bits? Finally saw one in the metal at a track day last year at Hockenheim. Looking at the stats afterwards I could see that it wasn’t much faster than my stock Speedster (VX220 N/A) � which would explain (along with the twitchy handling and value of the car) why he didn’t put up a fight.

When I looked the car over in the pit lane, it reeked of petrol � in the cabin! Still a style icon though and was clearly the inspiration for the (sadly) still-born Lotus M250.[image]http://static.flickr.com/26/44339487_b161b16c5e_o.jpg[/image]

Good to see something a bit non Exige,but on the same lines…the stratos has always had a place in my heart,but would have to be original! Ill stick with my Exige S1,if I won the lottery,Id have a Sratos to,and an E type,and…

SpeedyK, my stratos replica has Alfa 3.0l V6 engine fitted, goes well with this, more in keeping with original than previous lancia twin cam.

Will keep trying to upload some photo’s.

I have always liked them and was looking around some at Stoneleigh kit car show last weekend.

Talking to an owner he said that he loved the car and always wanted one.

I sat in the drivers seat and it was very different to the Exige.

The down sides are as follows:

Rear visability is a hell of alot worse than my S2 Exige.

It has a shorter wheel base which means that it might not be as good at cornering as the Exige. (Owners words not mine)

But I loved it as a great car, not sure I would want to own one not that I have sat in one.
