Great stuff, weather in Lancs very cold and maybe a bit icy but sunshine and blue skies. Hope you can Al make it. Thanks for good wishes, Pesky. Enjoy your blue skies
Glorious day here - bloody cold though!
Have fun lads!
Thanks Steve for organising the meet and sorting out the food order etc.
Nice run out even though it was cold out, but no snow luckily. Good turnout and nice to catch up with peeps again.
Sorry I did not make it today. Yesterday I tried to get into the car while it was frozen and this caused an issue with the auto drop on the window for door opening.
I thought all was well and back to normal until I dropped the window to wave someone in whilst stuck in traffic on the m6… One loud clunk later and the window seems to of dropped off the runners
Had to turn around and drive home with no window, spent an hour trying to get the panel off and gave up. Car is sat outside with a bin bag taped over it now.
No overly thrilled.
Great little pub and nice meal, thanks for organising nice to see everyone
Great turnout, fellas. Thanks for making the effort. Gav and I had a stonking drive up and it was much the same on the return with the Nyloc gang. Hope everyone got home safely
And, as for Mr Booth, well, just wait till Tim reads your tale of woe . . . you’ll never hear the end of it.
Thanks for organising it Steve very nice pub and the food was spot on. Nice to catch up again and see you in 2015.
A good day out with a great bunch of guys
Note to self: when I decide to change route, check the overall summary before setting off… You’d think I’d know better
I’m afraid I led the NYLOC bunch on a couple of not very direct routes
Not the best way to treat my Exige: get it salt encrusted and put it in a damp garage
Happy New Year to you all
What he said!
Thanks for sorting it Thommo…
Thanks, fellas…
My pride and joy is looking pretty sorry for itself in the garage, mud spattered and salt covered. Big day at the car wash coming up tomorrow. But it’s there to be USED and enjoyed.
Cheers all - great turnout and venue - good to meet up again with such great company - sorry the Exige couldn’t make it. Met the fastest Transit van in the world on the way back home
Sorry I didn’t get there earlier to chat more with everyone. Thanks for the organising Steve and for introducing me to new pub! Made it home without having to be helped out of the car and the lights aren’t as crap as I thought they would be (or maybe I just have low expectations).
Cheers all,
Paul.
Sorry I never made this
One the plus side Sherman is much better after 2 days of being sick, and Di is better than yesterday. I may even get the car cleaned tomorrow…
Any pics from the day btw? I do like a pic or two of our gatherings
Another great meet and thanks for organising Steve. My car needs a bloody good clean too.
Good to hear Di & Sherman feeling better unlike Booth’s pork
Not the greatest of pics, would have liked a line-up but failed to organise
Sill gutted I missed this. Pork now living in a neighbours double garage as my single is full of sofa
Had to spend a night outside in the cold with a bin bag taped to it… Seems its not uncommon, no garages open till next Monday either
Due to leccy windows I suspect. In the good old days of hand winding (ooh err, missus) you knew when not to force the mechanism.
Hopefully a not too expensive fix, Boothy. All the best to you & Steph for 2015 & your exciting news!
Amen to that! Great to see such fantastic cars out there all year round.
I’ve just been on a tour of the Midlands visiting family,…all those big slippery roundabouts and I’m 5-up in a FWD piece o’ crap, what a waste.
Gave it a good wash down and a salt clearing under chassis jet wash. Looking good in the garage. We had a great drive to and from the King’s Head (A 683)
