I, too, have the official exiges.com wooden pole. I switched to the more robust model after an earlier bamboo version found its way out of the engine compartment and wrapped itself round the drive shaft somewhere near Snetterton, fortunately without serious damage
I have a length of waste pipe, it’s lighter and is already non scratch.
