Cheers for posting Thommo
What a great day was that on Salisbury Plain
The Noble was indeed an excellent car and the owner was a real enthusiast _ a lot like us guys
The most abiding memory was Steve Sutcliffeâs parting comment that is was the first time whilst testing a Noble that it hadnât broken down
Been fettling the little beastie over the last few days - itching for the end of this interminable lockdown.
Great to hear from you, Simon. So glad you have kept the faith. What a bash weâll have when we can all get together. Maybe we need to think about that. . . . central venue, curry, that sort of thing.
Benjaâs engine is still running sweetly in my Exige.
Would be def up for a meet up after all this gloom
Thommo I have come so close to letting the Exige go in the past - thank the lord I came to my senses in time
Fab post Steve, glad my dadâs stunning S1 helped with your decision to eventually buy one yourself
I think the S1 shape is getting better with age and will continue to do so, but then again we are biased
Both my dad and I did like the noble and even contemplated purchasing an m400 when they came out, we even drove down to Peter Smiths sports cars to test drive one ( my god that was and is a very quick car) I must admit the noble hasnât aged well and thankfully my dad never jumped at the offer and it was a very good offer on his own car.
Canât wait to get back out in the cars when this finally all eases.
I agree. The bullsh1t runs very deep on Seloc, the quality sites get way less but then you are not stuck with opinionated rubbish. Better and true friendships are made on Exiges and the likes if MLOC etc IMO.
Iâm another that dabbled with the idea of a Noble before buying the Exige. Was very close to buying a m400 until I found out how much a friend had lost in the first year of m12 ownership. Never ever regretted buying the Exige and getting to know folks on here. Meet after this is over sounds great.
Only problem with the S1 Exige these days is that you always get asked if itâs a genuine one , I also had that with an Escort Cosworth ,which was one of the reasons I sold it.
The Noble still looks great to me, problem is reliability.
Regarding this forum going quiet, the damage was done years ago because new potential members werenât getting their requests activated, even with full member recommendations.
I put forward many Exige owners without any success plus a fair few members getting banned and all post history getting deleted never helpedâŚâŚâŚâŚFB Groups appear to be the future
Nay, lad . . . keep with the forums. My cycling club abandoned forum in favour of FB. I resisted but had to join in the end under protest. Canât find a bloody thing on there when you want it. Proper flummoxed
completely agree with this, Iâm a FB person so I could try to follow Old School BMX Life, but there might be loads of great post and information, but you canât find it, bring back forums
