NOBLE M12 GTO...

Is this a great ‘replacement’ for an Exige S1???

Anyone familiar with them???

Pete.

Nothing is a great replacement for an S1 Pete , you should know that.

Saw a Noble today… a real minter with only 3K on the clock for Exige S1 money!!!

I had an interesting internal rational conversation!!!

I must admit they look cool and always liked them but never got one as the ford engines i hear not that reliable.

But now done few track days, i’ve passed to many of them on track, lost respect for them now, not as good as i first thought, i am running 350bhp in my S1 tho

Big Respect!

Having seen the chassis after a few years use there is no way I would have one.

MrD has just acquired one.

What did you see???!!!

Think they look great… but SOooo much bigger than the Exige! So surprised they apparantly handle so well!

BTW, in the link there is a mention that the S1 Honda SC cars get to 100mph is circa 8 seconds! Can this really be true? Always reckoned sub 10 sec was super fast!

Deffo on the look out for the ‘Exige’ though!

Pete.

Yep… I believe an SC Honda will be around that… certainly a good bit under 10 secs

See thats why you need an Audi, 8 seconds to 100 is for girls!!!

Speak to John at JSRacing Pete. In a previous life he used to work with Nobles a lot so has a lot of experience with them and their owners.

Yeah, Plans were some kind of offical Noble service centre while John was there, so it might be worth you giving him a call.

John looked after several Noble race cars as well.

If I recall he absolutely loves them and would love to work on them lots more and meet lots more Noble owners…or I could have got that completely and utterly wrong

Yeah right!! Owners arne’t so bad, cars are dire though!! Specially now they are getting on a bit!
May have Ford engines, but they’re no Mondeo when it comes to fixing them. Lots of bespoke parts and some VERY labour intensive jobs.
If you think that Lotus scrimped a bit on their fixings, have a look under a Noble and count the rivets and screws that hold the undertray/floors on!

Yeah maybe I was projecting my own Noble Owner experiences there
