No more trackdays - car to be sold...

Well, it was nice whilst it lasted chaps, but I fear my trackdays are over and my car will have to go up for sale soon.

I finally bit the bullet and got married last Friday.

The wife has been good so far, but how long will it last before the ‘that car has to go !’ threats come out ?

Joking aside, we got married here http://www.comlongon.com - highly recommended if you are looking for a smaller wedding venue.

congrats on the marriage mate, shame to see something like that go but i think it comes around in all of our lives. im 23 so dont have to worry about it for a few years yet lol

LOL @ Dave!

Congrats on the wedding. but we all know you won’t be selling the mota!

Firstly congratulations

Secondly,…don’t be silly mate. Assuming kids shortly follow marriage, then bigger house etc etc you’re effectively saying I’m not going to have another toy car for 20+years.

Trust me, building a case to buy something similar in the next quarter century will be inordinately harder than building a case to keep the one you’ve got. There’s some older and wiser boys on here that I’m sure will be back me up and voice their regrets that they ever got rid of the steed they enjoyed pre-marriage/kids.

If there is any way you can find to keep it, then do so. Unless times are truly hard I’m going to keep mine and my Missus fully understands that. She’s not been in it for years and it makes her feel sick when she does. She knows however that even if I don’t have the time to drive it as much as I like that just walking past it on the drive puts a smile on my face  Plus my lad Rory is only three and he already tells all his friends that his Daddy has got a racing car

Just to be clear… I am joking of course

The car is going nowhere !! (except perhaps to the paintshop and garage to get a supercharger

It may start as a joke, give it time she will have u doing all the house work & shopping while shes out driving your car, actually your married now, so its her car

Phew you had me worried there for a minute.

Congrats on wedding mate, Have been to Comlongon Castle and terrific place for wedding. I was at Porsche meet other week and met Andrew the owner of Comlongon. Ask him about when he blew the engine of his 997 turbo when flat out.
Dont forget I get first bags on my old mota if you sell

Congratulations Dave - boys need their toys!

Congratulations matey. We were all chatting about it at the midlands curry!! You should of come, we had strippers booked and everything!!!

Now you’re married you’ll have even more time to be with the Exige, as life’s other pleasures get withdrawn

btw Congratulations

Was it as good as the one we had at Oulton park ? - Need to go back there as it was the best curry I’ve had for ages !

Strippers ? - Did Rob let them use his pole ?

Tart!

Congratulations Dave…and good luck.

Congratulations.
Glad the Car for Sale was just a joke.
Sure had me worried.
Benja’s reasoning re keeping the car was spot on by the way, just in case the matter ever arises over the breakfast table.

Congratulations Dave.

Tip for happy marriage and exige ownership is just to move the decimal place one place to the left when discussing bills.

My wife thinks my honda was good value for 1200, especially as the K was sold for more

True

Congratulations Dave, good luck and all that.

Congrats Dave, well done mate

…wishing you all the very best for a happy future buddy.

That’s why you couldn’t make the curry

strippers why wasnt i told about this, would of taken me 3 hours drive, but sounds well worth it, curry, nice cars, drink and strippers and of course you guys too
