F**k socks! Looks like the pump is officially fooked, getting the full 12v feed to it and still nothing… Proves that all the wiring, fuses and relays are good.
The only last possibility is that it isn’t earthing but seems unlikely…
But I can get the pump repaired for very little, now it’s just getting it to me mech to get the tank out.
Again thanks for all the help!
Hopefully I’ll be good for Oulton on the 12th so will be buying burgers to all that want them
It should be easy to check if your getting both +12v and also earth at the fuel pump with your meter, just measure across the relevant wires !! (ie don’t put your earth probe to any other earth). Another check you might want to try is to connect 12v across the pump from a battery this will tell you exactly if the pump is good or bad.
That’s where I’ve checked for the 12v feed, orange / white wire, using the earth on the other side of the plug (there’s two earth but one must be for the sender) all of which appears to be good.
I’d love to and did try to run a wire straight onto the pump but there is no access to the plug on the pump so I just couldn’t be sure… I really is looking like the pump
But friday it’s off to me mech and he’ll have the tank out in minutes… well something like that

mmmm thats always our problem… Lotus just didn’t build these things for servicing or repairing… access is abysmal, and what should often be an easy check/repair seems to turn into a monster effort (see replacing the battery !! or the rear brake hoses… ehhh mr lane
I’ve really gotta teach on Thursday night, I may be able to get out of it but unlikely so was gonna grab a couple of hours sleep then do a very early morning drive to Oulton… When’s the curry? Thursday or Friday?
