Just wondered how many of you guys running Totota, Honda, Audi and Duratec lumps are driving about without a Cat on?
Seems like lots of ‘K’ cars have no Cat as there is a definable performance benefit from running without one…
apart from one day a year :>))
Is this the same for the rest?

you would loose a couple of bhp, I run a cat full time
I’ve been cat,d so far but the MOT is in August so cat-less from then. I just want flames
Do all engine types have to run a cat for the MOT ?, how do the Honda conversion cars manage ?.
A friend of mine was told by an unreliable source (another lotus owner)that there was a loop hole for modified cars, could this be true.

find yourself a friendly MOT tester.
Sure is the best policy !
I got a 340R with a N/A Honda through a proper MOT emissions test without a cat fitted. No remapping was done either.

No cat for me
I have no chance of getting this fat git to the MOT station
