Ooh, that’s serious. Cd be two days at Prescott then!!
Thanks for the tip, Mike
I gather from the Masters folk that all is well and they are at Donington “setting up for a busy weekend of racing”.
Phew!
See you there tomorrow Thommo - I’m definitely going now!
Looking at the entry list, both Randy & his dad should out in Group C cars
See page 6 http://www.themastersseries.com/resources/DN11_Prov_Online_Entries.pdf
Excellent. So that’s me, thee and Chevron . . .anyone else . . . .?
Randy mentioned on facebook that he bust his gearbox yesterday. I dont know if he has managed to fix it
Have a great time guys. Back at Knockhill on Sunday otherwise I would be have been up for this with one of Christines packed lunches.
Fixture congestion, eh. I’d hoped to get up to Knockhill for the first time but Prescott won the argument.
Hope it stays fine up there( and down here).
Well, it all worked out a treat. Donington on Saturday (with Pesky and Chevron B37) and Prescott on Sunday (alone as it turned out with ConMcL in Spain and Harvey among the crowd but without my phone number).
Here are some pics and vids, mostly Lotus . .
Note the Excel front wheel angle . . . just before it clipped the barrier in front of me, only to carry on at undiminished pace.
And, by the way, Steve Cropley, motoring journalist, did no credit to my trade by being pathetically slow in a Honda engined Atom. I dare say I’d have been even slower though.
I am greatly relieved that Donington have managed to sort out any noise issues and that this meeting went ahead (and sorry for scaremongering!). Also glad that you had a good time. Prescott is never boring…
I was running a Sprint and then a Race Day at Pembrey = great fun but both days ended up very very wet!

Prescott was wet initially but glorious thereafter. Thank goodness you went to Pembrey and took all the rain with you!
Back to the Donington bit…
They have confirmed that their meeting for Motors TV scheduled for 1 October, and at which I had taken four grids, has been cancelled. It seems that the LA has not (yet) agreed to the increase from 40 ‘noisy’ (unsilenced for us) days each year to 45 days. Consequently all October meetings are cancelled it seems. Their web site events list does not go beyond British GTs on 24/25 Sep at the moment.
