How old/ what spec are your Nitrons as a comparison of a 40mm Nitron and a 46mm Ohlins is like comparing Apples and Banana’s
The all new 46mm Nitrons are another quantum leap for Nitron and better due to the piston sizing, valving etc. Ask Steve Williams (If you can catch him LOL he runs 46mm Nitrons!!!)
I’m no expert but the cheapest 1 way Ohlins is about 1900 +vat
these 1 way Nitrons 46mm are �1465 +vat.
You can also deal direct with the guys that designed/built them. With the Ohlins stuff you will be dealing with an agent (as I understand it) So a bit of a lottery in terms of finding the really really good ones.
Nitron are putting massive efforts into there products (as they always have) They even have one of the ex Penske developement engineers working for them now.
Dont want to start a bun fight or anything, it just very very easy to say this or that is good/bad/ rubbish particularly if it was incorrectly specced in the first place and then badly adjusted/ set up.
I am going to make some calls early next year, I would rather refresh the full supension and do a proper job.
Its good to see things moving forward though
Just been out in mine an its fantastic, if you have std Nitrons just get them built to the latest spec the 46mm are overkill unless you are a racing god. As for you Middo what are you looking for slightly better turn in when avoiding pot holes on the A666

That was kind of my point, the difference between �1200 and �3k is pronounced 
Thing is getting them to the latest spec aint cheap either. The new ones have longer damper bodies, then its rods/springs etc. Might as well ebay mine and replace. Its all fund depandant though my plan was have all this done by now but my car budget for the year was well blown.
