Nitron Spring Rates

What rated springs do folk run on single way Nitron Adjustables?

450f/550r on mine Simon.

Obviously somewhat softer than the boyz who only use their cars on track, but I find the above ā€œacceptableā€ for road use, & great on track with the dampers stiffened up a couple of clicks.

I run 550/700 Randy spec - itā€™s a heavily track bias setup.

Same here on the 46mm"sā€¦ but still lovely and compliant on the road

Same here Simon, lol does a lightweight S2 count

Cheers chaps  - Iā€™m after a new set as one spring appears rather beggered and I canā€™t for the life of me find out what springs they came with

Just for nothing more than trivial value the new V6 nitrons are running 550f /1000r

Battleship specā€¦matches the paint job

Oops I have Ohlin 46ā€™s!

Mine are not ā€˜thatā€™ bad on the roadā€¦theyā€™ve been on there quite a while now so Iā€™m used to them. Iā€™d like to try some 46mm or Ohlins one day if I have the Ā£Ā£Ā£.

Im running randy spec 450/650 but I find them a bit harsh on the road, which makes me think the dampers are turned up a bit high as it was only a pure track car before I bought it and it will be 100kg lighter when Ive finished with it so maybe i wont need to run such hard rates

How old are the dampers? What car are they on S1 S2 ETC Do you know if they are fast road or track
I can give you a good idea of what they would be fitted with today. Or if you look at the end cap (near adjuster ) there is a 4 or 5 dogit build code, get me that and i can find what springs where originally supplied.

My s2 is on 3 way 2013 spec Nitrons with 550/700 springs and on track I was really surprised how compliant it wasā€¦I have no idea about road use, not driven it on the road yet, honest

my S2 is running 550\750 1 way nitrons and it is great on the road as well as track, I just dial back the dampers 6 clicks for the road and more and it gets too bouncy!
