All,
Forgetting my scuffing wheel arch liners for a bit , I was reading the latest EVO mag and saw the article on the crazy Caterham Levante with the 550BHP RS Performance 2.4 V8 in it. While in supercharged form, this V8 must surely be crazy expensive, I was wondering whether any S1 owners have gone for the normally aspirated 2.0 litre 380BHP V8 version that weighs 73kg’s. (Probably still costs !!) I’m scared to think what such an engine could do in our car

There was a one off that Sinclaire’s did the transverse installation work on a few years back, but have no idea if it ever ran.
As for any other Elise/Exige variant turning up with the RSPerformance engine in any time soon, we’ll all just have to wait and see…
The sincs one never ran as the whole thing started getting stupidly expensive and when they did the Honda in mine they dropped it completely (In fact that car is now the Camel car they have with the Honda in it).
The Elise/Exige version was taken in-house and I believe will be running soon .

It certainly would be a propper tool in a lotus…
I went out in the supercharged V8 levante last weekend and it sure is stupidly quick…
