new owner - yay!

Taking delivery in about 2 weeks of an ex demo Magnetic Blue S2 Exige Dream car territory here as although I have owned Elises for the past 5 years, I always hankered after an Exige. This comes fully loaded with the Touring Pack and the Stage 2 exhaust An 0505 model with 2K miles.

And I cross to the Dark Side…

Well-done mate! And its already run-in for you!
Nice colour too. I see one at Wilson’s Lotus in Essex which Davey_S1 bought.

Well done mate. Picking mine up tomorrow. Cant wait.

I would be interested to hear your first impressions - I have driven a 'yota engined Elise and it was awesome even with a std exhaust. I am changing up from a 135R S2 Elise, so the ride of the S2 Exige will be a bit softer but I am looking forward to getting rid of the K series and it’s ever present HGF issue…

What spec is you Exige?

Good effort Timmsky.

Just dropped mine off for its aftercare service and pick it up on Tuesday when I get back from Le Mans. Cant wait, its going to be Rev City.

Mine is also Magnetic Blue but with the Performance Pack, ITG, Park Assist, Armourfend and Air Con.

Stage 1 Exhaust to go on shortly.

Where did you buy yours from? Only other Magnetic Blue one I have seen for sale is in Lotus Ribble Valley.

Cheers

Cool man

I have to say I really do like the S2.

Sean…

While we are stroking S2 owners…

I had a go in an S2 b4 I bought the real version (only joking FFS ) and it felt incredibly well screwed together. I different thing but very nice all the same

Well done and enjoy it the’re all fantastic in there own ways - I would have gone for Krypton?/Scandelous Green - Whhooooaaaaa!!!

Got it from Murray Motors in Edinburgh, their demonstrator of about 7-8 weeks old. Have used them for my last 2 Elises so have a pretty good relationship with them. This one has the Touring Pack, so Air-con (in a Lotus???) electric windows, remote central locking, sound deadening (it also has the Stage 2 exhausty so probably necessary ), carpets etc. Also the dealer has had defendall fitted from new, something I always always meant to do to the 135R and now it’s too late…

Davey - Did yours come with the harnesses fitted, and are those seats standard?

Can’t wait… I have photos and must try to get them uploaded somewhere…

Now I understand why you were selling the Larini off the 135R.

Welcome to the dark side Iain!

Thanks Uldis

Absolutely, I need to get the 135R back to standard over the next week or so, meaning the Larini and CAT pipe need to go to a good home…

Now, where can I buy my first upgrade and Exiges.com sun strip like Kerry’s?

Pesky’s yer man!

Soon to appear here.

Thanks Senor, I just mailed him

Sean,

Wouldn’t fancy an upgrade.

I really like your car, so I could buy it from you for a… let’s say 18k .

That would give you the necessary funding to buy an S2, give or take 10k.

welcome aboard the exiges.com ship iain

all the best with yer new yota…

What spec is you Exige?

Specification is Nighfall Blue (metallic) I have the touring pack and aircon. I also had armoufend fitted.

I’ve been running it in for two days now. Keeping under 4500 rpm and only using half the pedal travel as per the instructions. I’ll be doing this for the first 600 miles, then I can go higher, but can open the throttle fully until the 1000 mile service.

Given that I’m very impressed. The car pulls nicely, handling feels great and is altogether a very well put together and visually striking car.

the roof creaks just like my old S2 elise short roof did(its only bolted on after all, in just the same way as the S2 one was)

Thats all I have to rteport really. The exhaust could be a bit fruitier, so I’ll be upgrading to the Stage 2 at first service (which requires modification to the undertray_) and then I’ll be waiting for Lotus to release the new Manifolds. I may also upgrade to a pipercross carbon filter.

All in all I’m very pleased. Just wish there werent that many insects ready to commit harakiri on my bonnet.

Timmsky yes the seats and harnesses are standard with the Performance Pack. it also has the nornal 3 point inertia belts as well though.
