Just picked up my new Exige 190 with Sports Pack tonight. Had an '05 Elise 111R for about a year and now converted to the Exige side! Been a member of scottishelises.com for over a year, but I thought I better join this forum now that I’ve got an Exige.
Will get better pics when I get the chance, but here’s a few quick shots from tonight:
Welcome. First 1000 miles is the worst but at least it gives you time to get used to the extra grunt. Collect my new Exige S on Monday and can’t wait. I feel like a kid waiting for christmas.
Tim, I just love the looks of the Exige. I think it’s much more aggressive and pulls way more looks. So, I get what I think is a better looking car, plus the better handling!
I think Tim meant adding the wheels and suspension to your 111R but we know that would have been tricky!
Tricky? Nah. If I was starting from scratch, I’d go with the Exige, but having gone the 111R route for over 3 years it was a cheaper option to upgrade my car than chop it in for an Exige.
Looks are subjective, but with ohlins, sport ecu, sport arb, & tca I believe I now have a car far more impressive than a ‘stock’ Exige. Plus its lighter.
