New owner :-D

I picked up my Laser Blue S from will yesterday evening. Have washed it and taken it out for a little blast and what can I say, stunning car. Am very pleased.

I am now just flicking through the owners book to read up on TC, rev limits etc.

I currently have A048’s fitted and Padgids pads up front (standard on rear.)

As this car is only really going to be used for road use would you suggest a different tire choice? 888s maybe? Also the Padgids are squeeling away, will this settle down or do i need to lube them up some more oh err

Congrats and welcome !!!

For road use only I’d stay away from A048’s or R888’s - wear rates are not great and wet handling can be tricky to say the least.

Lots of other options but the Toyo R1R’s or A039’s seem to be the road only choices. You can probably sell your existing tyres quite easily and potentially cover any swapover costs

Pads - depends on which Pagids - are they 42’s (blue) or 14’s which are black. 14’s are generally considered track only, 42s are fine for fast road and a bit of track.
They might settle down after a few miles.

Good luck and once again welcome to the mad house !!!

I use 48’s on the road without any problems - just drive to the conditions.

Pagid 14’s on mine front and back - again no problems.

Cheers for the warm welcome,

They are new RS14’s fitted (have a standard set included so can swap if need be)

anymore opinions appreiciated

RS14s do tend to squeal from time to time. Seems to be after gentle use of the brakes. If you use them harder for a few miles then it does go away for a while but will return.

pics??

Nice :sunglasses: As said, change the pads but I’d go as far to change the rubber as well just to know when I hoon the cars grip is tip-top . 888’s better in the wet…I think.

Excellent, glad you managed to get it with the big scoop roof as well

Looks very nice, congrats.
