New manifold-any ideas????

Hi Guys. Seeing as the K is on the garage floor again do ‘we’ have any suggestions?

After a dyno sesh at emerald gearys manifold was suggested?

It didnt quite get to 200hp and the manifold might just be restricting it a bit.

Not too fussed about power as its fine but if anyone has a good used one which will bolt onto the back of the existing zaust or a full replacement shout up

Any armchair advice will be listened to but not likely to be followed

Cheers

Simon

I know what your going through, my K series is in the living room but I can say that I have an EP big bore manifold in the second bedroom. It looks really nice.

I have the Geary manifold and quite frankly for the 500 it cost you would be hard pressed to notice the differance.
I think there is a misunderstanding as to just what the std VHPD manifold is as I think it is possible the recomendation come from people not knowing that the Piper manifold is the same tube diamater and is 4–2–1 its just a bit shorter than GPs and not SS.
thats my penny woth!

Simon - the std VHPD Janspeed manifold is just fine (says me sitting in my very comfy armchair  )

btw did your VHPD get balanced during its rebuild?

Thanks boys i could do without spending another 600 golden fun tokens at the mo especially on something that wont run ‘reight’ despite the cash spent!!!

Story of my fookin’ life right now.

Hi Si - yes mate it was done at VF via Dave

Simon,

Purely as an “armchair” researcher, what about this:

Might be worth making them an offer.

Kurt

That’s a stock manifold by the looks.

I’m letting my inexperience show through, George! I think I may have thrown you a duff ball there Simon.

Kurt

Have you spoke to Jim @ 2bular?

When I looked at it I thought it looked very similar!!!

No chap I have decided to shelve the idea in favour of just trying to get a few non leaky non smokey road miles before its time to shovel snow again!!!

:frowning:

Haha don’t worry… soon you’ll have your one in bits and you’ll be able to identify a caster shim at 100 paces

the castor shims are sat on the tops of the wishbones - I have intimate knowledge :frowning:
