To be honest, im not sure if i like it or not… It’s not extream enough like the exige. I never liked the europa.
New Lotus Eagle
Is lotus trying to design like noble? cause the styling cues look similar.
What do you guys think?

I voted no. Not that it won’t be a good car or so, but it just isn’t the car for me. It just looks too big. I have the same problems with many other sportscars. I just like the small and the nimble cars.
A big no from me too.
Exige and Elise still look better - the styling is far to conservative.
The farbio looks toooo similar!
I agree, very conservative styling. A no for me too…
The front could be anything… I like the “wrap around” windshield design…the rear resembles a Lotus some how… Interior is a nice copy from Audi but still some how looks ok…it will not be a classic as Exige S1
not motorsporty/aggressive enough for me, i can picture audi TT drivers in them
Nope
I can’t believe that no-one has made the connection with the M250. There are so many styling and engineering cues carried over from that car that it might as well be called M250…
THIS GOOGLE IMAGES page will show you what I mean.
I always thought that the M250 was absolutely stunning in the flesh but less so in the photographs which simply didn’t do it justice.
But, really, I cannot see much progress from the prototype M250 car that I sat in and fell in love with in 2000. Dare I say that all they have done is tweak that design and call it something new to cover their embrassment at introducing an eight year old design…
Are we sure this is really it???
Unfortunately we appear to have two posts on the same theme?
Yes the post (well me actually) mentions M250 look a like!

Darryl,
Yes, found your comment on the other thread now.
The more I examine the evidence the more convinced I am that this is nothing more than a development of the M250.
Length: M250=4137mm, Eagle=4344mm. That’s a difference of just 207 mm (about 8 in), easily added to the original three part chassis structure. The M250 had plenty of room behind the seats (for two sets of golf clubs according to the Lotus sales talk of the time)
The weight has gone up somewhat (1000Kg up to 1300 Kg) but so has the engine capacity and power output.
The wheelbase of the new car is just 57mm longer than M250.
The wrap around window pattern is the same.
I know there are enough differences for this to be a ‘different’ car in pure engineering terms but the source is obvious. It’s a bloody M250!
…and if the final name (which is NOT Eagle we’re told) is Ejmal (arabic for most beautiful), or transliteration thereof, I’m going to claim IPR!
I was comparing the pictures to the M250 only yesterday, I like the look, was asked at the time if I would consider the M250 over the Elise, did like the idea, though not price difference. A thumbs up from me.
