LOL no that wasn’t me, i live at the very top of Scotland hundreds of miles away! Was the sh*tty DC5 in your road LOL?
Gonna start saving hard and hopefully can get one next year… Been reading alot about them and watching videos… I’ve always loved my DC5 but the Exige makes it look like a little toy car getting pushed by a toddler!
Whats the ground clearance like on them? The roads up here are awful i’m just worried about ripping the arse out of it going over a bump haha! But i’ll take the risk

Cheers for the welcome [/quote]
The ground clearance is fine on a standard car, mine is lowered and also fine. Lots of people run their car really low so may have he odd scrape but i wouldnt worry as long as your careful.
Welcome BTW.
I would ignore Pesky’s last comment, although it may be true at times and with certain individuals, but everyone is unique.
We usually do a couple of camping trips to the west coast in the summer, I was up in Durness / Tongue in August.
As for the road conditions, my car has 100mm clearance at the front and a slightly stiffer setup than standard. Normally no issues on the road, unless it’s got a grassy bit in the middle. But you have to be careful turning into petrol stations if there is a bit of camber on the road.
The rear diffuser can ground at times after hump back bridges etc. But having the engine in the back means you don’t have front sump issues to worry about.
The biggest issue on our northern roads is stone chips, so well worth investing in some stone chip protection if you are starting with nice paintwork. Especially true if you are running behind another lotus with sticky tyres.
Head over to Scottish Elises and you will soon find out what is going on in the North, although maybe not as far North as you might be.
