[ NEW FEATURE ] AI ( yes really ! )

I have started to trial an LLM (large language model) which is also commonly known as AI.

It won’t steal your data, it won’t log in to your bank account and it won’t hack your phone.

What I have enabled is an LLM that allows some really useful things like:

Proofread text
Suggest a title
Summarise a topic
Really in-depth searching
Friendly way to phrase questions.

Let me elaborate a little.

Proofread text

To proofread text before you post, simply create a new post, or reply, and hit the stars icon and select proofread text.

It will spell-check, grammar-check and make a suggestion.

Suggest a title
This is done once you create a new post - look again for the star

Summarise a topic
On any thread, at the top or bottom of the thread is a Summarise button. Press it and it gives you a high-level overview of a post.

Example:

Really in-depth searching

It’s hard for me to demo this, but trust me, the searching is turned up to 11!

Bot for answers

Look to the top right, you will see a robot icon. You can use this and phrase questions to it so it can go off and crawl the Exiges forum for answers. It’s learning as we go along.

Example:

Summary
I hope it’s a useful tool for us to use. I am on a free tier but if I find a “better” LLM, I’ll move to it. Early days still but keeping with the times.

Interesting! Which LLM are you using - I am a developer so keen to know how easy it is to implement etc. particularly the search aspect.

Gemini 2.0 at the minute.

If nothing else, I’m liking the spell - smell- checker.
Smart arse!
It’s not clever enough to answer if an S1 is better than an S2 though. We all know the answer

I always find it interesting that no one mentioned the S3 in these comparisons!

The answer is… The S3? Am I right? :innocent:

The search facility has made a huge improvement, which will be really helpful when researching for my rebuild/restoration. (Rewritten by AI….) :+1:
