Covered before, I’ve read.
The battery conditioner just laughed at me when I thought I might rejuvinate the OEM,3 year old battery. 2.3V !
Odyssey 25 (680) seems to be the chosen wisdom at the 100 mark.
My questions are:
1- Do you bother with an isolator if your pretty disciplined at putting on the conditioner, if so which one?
2- What extension leads have people used for fuss free connection to the conditioner. I’ve got air chamber conditioners at present and they don’t make their own (unlike CTEK)
Thanks
Halfords for me works great on my Odyssey, has a lead 2 part from the battery I hook up to the mains.

And they do an adapter that plugs straight into the cigarette lighter socket.
Best trickle charger available IMHO.
I’m sure I bought mine off EBay , cheapest price
Use caution when charging thro cigarette lighter folks … I very nearly had a burnt out Exige 2 weeks ago …
Dodgy 12v lighter plug was the culprit
Another vote for CTEK here i just plug mine in when the car is in the garage and forget about it you cant go wrong.
I use this connection lead:
http://www.ctek.nu/gb/en/chargers/Comfort%20Connect%20Eyelet%20M6
and cut a small hole in my standard plastic battery cover(that still fits nicely over the 680) that the cable pops through so connects in seconds.
Forgot to say, I got my CTEK for free with a classic car weekly subscription I dont think the offer is on at the minute but they do usually have this on a few times year.
got a ctek as well and use the supplied harness to connect it direct to the battery, it just seems easiest and most risk free
I also use a CTEK

The CTEK MXS 5.0 might fix that - it is a “special reconditioning function that restores stratified and deeply discharged batteries”.
If I need to replace my old 3600 series, I think I would spend the few extra quid and go for this one.
I have the Accumate, it does the job, never a problem. I also have the wall mount to keep it tidy. The battery lead is long enough to fit on the battery and dangle just above the bonnet on an S1. That way I do not have to open the bonnet to connect or disconnect. You can do he same on an S2 connecting to the emergency posts under the front hatch.
If you have a stupid friend who drives off without disconnecting the charger, the connector just pops apart, not that I have tested this (often).
Thanks
I had thought about using the emergency posts under the hatch, but it’s easier to open the boot.
MSAR tell me there are no Odyssey 25s in the country at the momment, apparently we export them all so they are looking to see about repatriating one!
I use the PC680 as it is the same battery under the skin
Thanks Ade,
That was apparent from the old thread, but it appears neither are available to MSAR at present. Of course, I could try other suppliers, but then if they have one it might suggest they’ve been on the shelf a while
A local battery place to us stocks these.
Ask them to provide the recharge by date if they have them in stock?
