New 2bular Exhaust for my "S"

Well I paid the price and got Jim from 2bular to make me a sport cat and rear box for my Exige S
As he is very busy it took a bit of time to be made, but OMG what a job he did…
It looked too good to be put on the car it should have gone on my mantel piece
Anyway got it fitted yesterday, don’t Lotus put the Lamda probe plugs in awkward places
However once off the new one fitted like a dream and looks sooooooo good the noise is fab too with the odd crackal and pop on overrun

Anyway a couple of pictures, note the oval tailpipe for the “S” its the first one he has done

Looks good. I like the central position for exhausts on four cylinder cars. It also looks a lot better than the std item. This will probably be what i do in the new year in readiness for the next season of track days.

I notice in the second pic you have removed some of the heat shield near the u bend just after the cat. Was this because the 2bular takes up more space?

Also which of the back boxes did you go for? 6" 7" 8" etc…and any idea on weight and volume?

The original heat sheild is replaced by heat resitant wrap, you only get this if you have replace the cat with a sport cat or cat replacement pipe.
I went for the 7" by 18" box as I wanted to retain the original looks as much as possible, I will post a few more pics soon of the side by side and in the car with the diffuser removed.

Would it be cheeky to ask how much this all cost? It looks a tidy job.

Actualy its ok it wasn’t far short of �1k by the time I had paid for it to be fitted, I think it was good value for money…

How long from order to delivery, i know he is very busy and his focus is on quality not quantity.

Would be good to know so i can thing about when to order one and when payment is required

If I can just fill in a few details; The delay on this order was actually finding a supplier for the rather large oval tailpipe section. It’s a 6"x4" item, same as the factory pipe - which is made by Magnex (CLF Ltd). They use it on various exhausts, notably their Scooby pipe. I guess Lotus asked for “something” to differentiate between S motors and n/a. Anyway, sorted now. Also do the more discreet Stg2 design with this oval, normally 2-3 weeks delivery. Thanks.
