Hi all, after my post a couple of months back about E39 M5’s I have finally sourced what I hope is a good one, thanks to Benja for pointing me in Mike Nunan’s direction as he gave me some good info, and to Muu for his initial pointers on my old post as that gave me a good start with regards to researching potential problems.
Well on to the car, had to travel to London to get it (220 miles for me), and have to say I cant believe how good this car is to drive, I honestly did not think it would be this good, granted it handles like a boat compared to the Exige but the comfort and effortless pickup is superb, it feels fast throughout the range.
I did 125 miles yesterday on some great roads, didnt touch a motorway and still managed 20.5 average mpg which I think is great.
Its so much car for the money, even got it on a classic policy, and for me is the perfect companion to the Exige, and Abarth 500 as I now feel Ive a car for all occasions

They are doing one up on wheeler dealrs at the moment, I have actually got first refusal on that car but will now need to tell them ive already bought one as couldnt wait any longer and that one wont be ready will end of nov at the earliest.
