Got the provenance cert at last, all seems legit.
I shave got one of these when they were a lot cheaper.
Nice to have
Been cleaning up the engine bay, looks pretty good for a 24 year old car- nice and original, I did manage to get hold of an Exige spark plug cover eventually to finish it off.
I do love finding the hand written stickers from when it was built. Is the “m/s” meaning Motorsport? It wasn’t on a very Motorsport part, found it on the back of the door trim panel when I was adjusting the window.
That looks glorious…where do these infamous Exige plug covers come from?
Cheers Toby. The plug covers were an optional extra along with some other bits and pieces, see one of my previous posts for some pics. I’m still looking for the other parts
Hi there #094 checking in.
I bought my S1 VHPD finished in New Alluminium / Blue Alcantara trim in Nov 23 and like you have cleaned up the engine bay, as well as working on some of the cosmetics. The car is coming up to its 24th birthday in September and covered only 30,000 miles.!
I couldnt get hold of an original Exige spark plug cover but made my own version using a carbon fibre after market version + Exige transfer, as well as a few Lotus Motorsport themed transfers added to the airbox.
I’ve wanted an unmolested S1 Exige for over 20 years and this car never dissapoints.
That looks great Tony, you should do a thread with some more pics- always good to see another silver one
Maybe we could start an Exige S1 VHPD thread as these are fast becoming desirable and comlectable!
I’ll follow with a separate thread as you suggested Keith. Next job on mine is to renovate the backs of my seats in a similar way to excellent job you did with yours!

Opps! Finger trouble…
Cornlectable …should have read Collectable!
