If its original Janspeed - I recently sold a good spare one for 150
Cheers Simon,
I’m looking to get some work done by Dave Andrews on the engine and the reason I’m looking to sell the manifold is because i’ve heard the Elise parts manifold is better. Would I be correct in thinking this or am I better off with the Janspeed?
Mike
Have you asked DVA?
Sort of, but I know how busy he is and I don’t really want to keep taking him off his work with phone calls. I remenber he once said to try the Janspeed and see how it goes but i’d rather just do the job once to be honest.

He ‘has’ now!
The Eliseparts manifold is better in just about every way over the Janspeed, had one since 2006 on my racer and it made quite a difference to the power curves. It’s easy to bolt on too as it’s in 4 sections with slip joints to allow for the thermal expansion.
I don’t think SeanB ever bettered the results he had with his either.
The one issue I have with it is that you have to enlarge the cutout in the undertray for it to fit, including taking a chunk out of the rear corner of one of the NACA ducts too. The manifold then protrudes about 10mm underneath. Probably not an issue at all on a roadcar but on a very low rideheight racer I’m just waiting for it to hit something when taking the ‘Treasure’ line across the chicane.
Yeah I can deffo vouch for the Elise parts system.
Does anyone know if I’d still need the link up pipe or does the elise parts manifold do away with this and connect straight to the cat?
I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I am sure there is a picture of it on the elise parts website
It goes straight to the cat.
Ok mate thats great, thanks for your help.
