just ashame its near the end of the dry weather. Took it down to TDI today they started to map it and it made 216 nm and 310 hp at the wheels at 0.95 bar of boost. Then my luck kicked in before they started to turn the boost up and the throttle position sensor went faulty so ive left it there for them to change and finish off the mapping. Im happy so far, the max torque was at 7000rpm and max hp at just short of 8000rpm. I just hope it makes good power now with the boost turned up. Its been a LONG rebuild but nearly there.
for those that dont no the car its a 1.9 turbo Audi lump
Gosh I thought it was a K!
Good luck Chris - really hope it goes well at the dyno and you can finally get it back on the road/track and get some miles on it…you deserve it after your run of luck with that car.
Good luck Chris
Yeah, fingers crossed dude.
Get some pics up!!
Hope it all goes well
nice one, the chaps at Tdi know their onions and I am sure they will sort it.
Give me a couple of weeks to get the car back together and ill get some photos up. Still bits I want to change but then I guess there always will be.
car has made 370 bhp at 1.5 bar and 411 bhp at 1.95 bar at the wheels so im happy. The bits i still want to change like throttle body and a couple of pipes he says will give around another 25-30 bhp at the wheels or run the same power at 0.2 bar lower, so thats what ill be doing over the winter.
Nice
That is going to be a very fast car

That’s not nice
Given Chris’s record over the years…
No offence meant Chris, & I do hope you have found the reliability you’ve been struggling to achieve
So do we all, he deserves it to work well for a long time
Me likey … If my Yota ever packs up then an Audi lump is on the shortlist
i think with a few more bits over the winter it should hit 450bhp at the wheels if im lucky, then ill just need to turn the boost down and get some driver training to be able to drive it
That’s going to be…nippy to say the least!
