Sorry to hear this Ade

Angry jfk …
dunno the answer but I’d have the keys locked in a safe …
A paraffin flame thrower at the bedside would be on my to buy list …

bad news, so soon after getting one of them too :frowning:

T

Book it and put a smile on your face mate.

That’s totally crap Ade … all the best for 2015 … It really has to be a vintage year …

Do you think that’s a yes to my question or a no?

I assume no house alarm was fitted. They have a habit of waking people up.

So sorry to hear this mate. Fingers crossed you get the cars back and the whole process is as hassle free as possible. Love ya

Sorry to read this ade, hope you get them back soon.

I surmise the answer to your question would either be a ‘no’ , or it was not turned on… But Only Ade can reply accurately.

Not sure how supportive of poor Ade the query is.

The first comment I made to Ade wished him the best, in support. The question is to establish if they had gone to the lengths of disabling his home alarm system in order to steal the vehicles. Thus knowledge for us all to consider new measures.

Tbh who really alarms a house when going to bed, I’d rather loose the cars than live in that kinda fear. Agreed on Ian’s point though, rather moot point.

Hope the insurers don’t give you the run around Ade.

It’s moot for ade, now.

I certainly alarm my house when asleep. Don’t most people?

I agree with the hope the insurers resolve things quickly. They can be a bind in such situations.

Nope, don’t know anyone round here that alarms a house when going out, let alone when going to bed.

If they want to take my car they could lift it off the road without me even knowing, as it’s parked a good few doors up on the public road. (lotus lives in garage though)

Especially those with pets or toddlers I would have thought. I’ve had a baseball bat to my head when not in my house for a car and I certainly wouldn’t want that to happen to my wife or children should they go to investigate the reason why our alarm maybe going off. But hey set yours, let us know how you get on…

Good heavens re: the carjack.

But in terms of the alarm, I always arm mine.

So are you saying you have an alarm but don’t arm it through fear? That sounds a little twisted in logic. I have always armed mine and will continue to do so

I think fitting a tracker to our cars is worthwhile doing.
Might even help with catching the scrots too.

I’m going to buy one of those eBay cheapy gps /sim trackers . Supposed to be good.
