does anybody know if the MY 2010 260 cup splitter will fit the MY 2009 car???
Sadly not as the front clams are different
You can however get the Reverie version that looks almost identical
Not cheap though
I was planning on buying one and making it fit, till I found out it was going to be north of 400 just to buy
LOL 900 for a carbon fibre splitter. Talk about pissing money down the drain.
I’ve been offered a MY2010 splitter for 200, Rear Spolier for 500 and either clam for 1500, Whatdoyarecon!
I could have a MY2010 body for 3500 with only doors and roof to deal with!!!
Splitter cheap, spoiler a rip off, clams cheap.
p.s. rear clam, doors and roof are the same, its the boot lid thats different.
Mark 2,s are always the best …
Just take the mark 2 Golf and the mark 2 Escorts !!!
If that’s a MY10 260 Cup carbon wing for 500 then buy it ! If it’s the normal MY10 wing then don’t .
You can upgrade any old shape exige to new shape for ~500.
Rear Wing is 135+paint+hours labour
Roof Scoop is 300+vat to convert old shape roof.
flat front splitter is 125+vat.

Who is charging that and what are they doing for that little?
now that is interesting, i am still interested in seeing if one can be grafted on

I don’t see why it wouldn’t go on - I looked into doing it. The 2010 clam does have what I can only describe as a lip when the splitter mounts to. Any good body shop should be able to grind a lip on to pre 2010 clam though, I’m not sure if it would look a little bit mismatched with the the later splitter…?
Give Essex Autosport a call.
As nice as it is I would not pay 500 just to cut it up, the area of most concern for fitting was around front arches, which is why I most wanted the new style splitter.
I cant see how they can do it properly for that, you can’t just blend a cup scoop in, it’s a skin off job and the flee bay skins are crappy quality. Painting a roof is normally 200 so with all the extra work involved I can’t see how it can be done.
