Well my VHPD friends - sobering news. 
Only 5 VHPD MS2 cylinder new heads left 
Even worse news is - they are £2k each - machined and bare 
Existing head (VHPD 
) has a fair chance of wearing out or becoming porous - what to do?

Agreed - but there are issues notably VVC has hyd tappets VHPD has shims - not a straightforward swap - if it was that simple Lotus wouldn’t have gone down bespoke VHPD route?

Bought one of the heads - so only 4 left

Yeah you are right VVC head is not a straight forward swop, but bear in mind Piper do a conversion kit to junk the standard vvc cams and replace the hydraulic with solid lifters. They have the standard vhpd profile, should you want it, but obviously much better profiles are available.
