MS Seats 5th harness point

Morning Chaps,

I’ve Motorsport seats and 4 point harnesses and have a desire to fit a 5th (anti submarine) point. I don’t want to fix the 5th point to the car, but rather fit it to the seat runners. MSAR don’t have such a fitting so I’m wondering if there’s something out there that I can use?

Sorry but sold the ones I had shortly after as no point putting them back in the garage.

THAT is exactly what i need. Where to find them?

Sorry this is the only place I could find them. Not sure if Dave would have any?

Bought some from the factory. Several years ago.
Are you sure you want just the 5 point. Quite uncomfortable. And could be a serious threat to the manhood in the event of an accident.
6 point is really what you need.

Clive…is so true those harness you have it in the orange is a nut cracker when break hard!!

6 point sounds the preferred way then! The same question still stands, how do I achieve this? I have the original scroth/safety devices harnesses and buckle, and want to anchor the other points without drilling the car.

Thanks,
Kurt

Not aware of a solution for 6 point that doesn’t involve drilling. If you want to go that route would suggest looking at the neater solutions. Take a look at Sector 111 again. On the 5 point being uncomfortable then I agree as that’s why I moved to 6 in mine.

The two straps of the 6 point still have to go down the same hole in the seat.
So … What’s different for the fixing to the seat ?
I have 6 point with the seat fixing for 5 point

I’ve just whipped the pax seat out and I concur, the harness (5 or 6 point) would need to fit through the same slot. I can only assume that the 6 point is wider above the seat and spreads the load if ones tezzers connect with the ASM strap?

I have seen the 5th and 6th points fitted to the rear seat mounting bolts to the chassis, I presume they must have used longer bolts and they went between the seat rails and the floor, I think there might even have been a flat metal plate between the 2 bolts and they bolted to there, my memory is sadly a little hazzy but it was definitely the rear seat mount bolts used.
