Moving over to the Dark side!

I did…both S1 and S2 was superb. S2 just a better everyday car, and I use it everyday. I have not regretted it…Bertone, you’re thinking about that Green S2 aren’t you you little tinker

Maybe, but surely the COLOUR shouldnt be a factor in changing a car!

My S1 is probably the best original factory spec one in the UK so to swap it for an S2 just because i like Krypton Green or Chrome Orange might be a travesty?

You ain’t seen “Ted’s” very rare Ice Blue one have you? In fact, not many peeps do see it, cos it very rarely gets out of his garage.

Now this absolutely true! Each 1st Weds of the month, we have a “petrolhead” meet in Bolton, which is approx. 15 miles from where Ted lives. Unless it is the middle of summer, & it’s been blazing sunshine all day, Ted won’t set off to the meet until… his son Mark seperately drives to the meet, then phones his Dad to confirm that it isn’t raining along any part of the journey to Bolton.His car is gorgeous though, so we all forgive him his fastidiousness (albeit whilst we also take the pi$$)

I do find the longevity of the Toyota lump in my S2 pretty reasuring, characterless or otherwise.

Mark - maybe an S1 is a car bought with the heart not the head and the S2 is the other way around.

You Brits have easy talking… There are plenty exiges to choose from in the UK. The S1 is very rare overhere (in LHD) I saw the first one in the flesh in October last year!! As for the S2. It’s almost as rare. AFAIK only some 15 (including mine) are sold. Never saw a 240R in LHD, either. And in the UK they pop up used on a regular base.

Consensus on this board is the S1 is favorit. Would that still be so if you had to choose between both in standard trim? So the S1 without the 190 bhp package or engine conversion or the S2 without any packages
