Motorsport Rear Wing Measurements

Hi all.

If anyone has one, and doesnt mind measuring a few things, i need some measurements to get my rear wing made up.

Length of wing (not including end plates)

Distance between mounts (centre line - centre line)

Or if anyone has one for sale? :wink:

If know one else pitches up I’ll try and do this next time I get the car out Ryan.

Someone must have the actual specs though. Mine has the Edwards mounts whereas other mounts may be different…

Did Clive (MrBean) have one for sale?

I think he was only selling if he found an oem item to replace it with. Unsure how far he got with that. I will drop him a pm.

The ali supports in the clam have been cut about to accommodate the MS wing pylons so replacing the OEM wing is a prob…
Looks as if I will have to stick with my “Boy Racer” look although in my case it’s “Old Farts Last Fling” look :open_mouth:

PS my tune is Stormy Monday…Allman Brothers/Eric Clapton…although today is Tuesday

Ryan,

I might have a carbon one, with carbon end plates for sale in a couple of weeks. Also have uprights available.

Might also have a large curved one (Reverie style - Simon McBeath profile) in GRP available in the next two or three weeks.

Try these :: Span 1232 mm. Without end plates
Chord. 275mm
Length between pylon centres. 1007mm

Usual disclaimer Also I am not sure if this is an “official” Ms wing or something else.

Magic cheers. Yeah I got 1000mm between mounts. 105 between mount holes.

Wasn’t sure on width or chord depth

Clive has exactly the same wing as me, I don’t think it’s an official MS wing. IIRC Mr Pesky was involved in sourcing them. Did the actual MS wing require that the clam was cut whereas this one does not when used with the Edwards wing mounts?

Benja, the wing was the same, it was just our own design of bracket that didn’t require cutting the clam it used the original exige holes. The MS wing on peskys car was mounted with the motorsport inner brackets and the height adjustable top plates that required a slot to be cut in the clam. None of the wings were “official” lotus ones but I understand they were made by the same company that supplied them to lotus.
