Selling as I want a convertible again. May look at S2 Elise, VX220 Turbo or 340R. This car would make the ultimate Honda/Audi conversion hybrid !

Motorsport Bodied Lotus Elise 111s

16000 miles

A very fast and well sorted car with the looks of the Exige and the driveability, reliability and running costs of the fabulous S1 111s.

My insurance is cheaper than my old standard 111s FYI

Originally a standard 98 Lotus Elise but in 2001 was converted into this at huge cost by Geary Powell at eliseparts.com The car is rumoured to have had 85,000 spent on it over its lifetime!

The spec. is as follows. The majority of this work was carried out just 7000 miles ago. The car has been in storage for a while with the previous owner but I have been running it daily for the last 3 months and 5000 miles.

Over 4500 spent since February and a huge itinerary of work that was carried out at 11,500 miles by Martin and Steve Edwards at lotuspower.co.uk. Impeccably maintained by these guys during my ownership.

It makes 165 BHP and is easily as quick if not quicker than the Exige on the road. On track I wouldn’t know !

Bump…

if only emails and answerphone messages turned into hard cash.

Price reduced. No offers as its just had an uprated head gasket put on  and a fresh service. Gotta be a bargain with this much kit on.

Bump…

if only emails and answerphone messages turned into hard cash.

And don’t forget those who want to part/ex their Impreza or Elise for it… (why is that ?)

baffles me. so many ‘if you ever put it for sale, let me know’ people around as well. px’s and silly offers.

geezer from france wasting my time - you can’t even put an airfilter on in france without getting put down for 4 years ! whats the point in even wasting my timne replying

guy from scotland dead interested in a swop ? don’t bend over backwards replying to my mails then !

Latest one from south africa - who probably called me from sa and cost me 100 for 3 minutes and who is in town over the weekend and wants to find an exige to put a 2.2 litre honda turbo or something like that ??

I take everything with a pinch of salt now with private selling.

you wanna buy the car ? - yeah course you do

…and breathe

I had a bloke from South Africa too… didn’t give him the time of day. Reason: I bought some seats from a guy selling his 340R who had the SAME guy asking to import his 340R… So, no overseass selling, end of.

Spent the weekend racing with the bloke from SA who wants the car. He is quite legit and was telling me of the problems he is having finding someone to sell him a car.

Not sure what was discussed regarding payments etc with yourselves, not something i want to get involved in.

International sales are best done through dealers though, and i also would be hesitant to deal with international buyers.
