Mark, Graham said they do 2 bars first one is 8 gage T45 and this must be there track day bar which isn’t much of an upgrade and the second is a 10 gage T45 bar.
I was being a bit brain dead last night, and realised after I’d logged off that it was probably down to tube gauge thickness.
Especially as I’ve just done the same thing at work on a car.
It was nice to meet everyone at the Donington Show at the weekend and also those who came to say hello and ask about all the Pilbeam kit/components I’m now using on my racer. I’m only a customer of theirs but I was so impressed with the stuff that I asked if they’d like me to promote it a little at the show.
There was a lot of interest in their stage one wishbone bush kit but I still don’t know of anyone on here who has used them yet, so if anyone on here is the first - let us know!
Their anti-roll bar is the best made I’ve seen for the Elise/Exige and just to add to Mads comments above the kit also includes new mounting blocks to replace the standard white nylon ones as well which makes it even more incredible value.
The Motorsport bar (which is used on the Exige S1) is quite good. Compared with the Standard none motorsport bar on elises it does make a big difference. c10mph at craners for me (compared on an S2 else though)
All very subjective but I certainly believe the exige bar to be ok for the average or above user. My advice would be to wack it on the hardest setting for a dry day
10mph - that’s about my top speed anywhere at Donington
yep can’t hardly overtake you at the pub m8 with my standard ARB
i am ready for a revenge now
gonna “hinge” you badly at LE MANS caf
end of digression
i changed the standard ARB on my 111S for the elise parts classic one (not the sliders one, wich seems expensive for the promised advantage given) the same i use on my exige with the five holes position.
i haven’t yet throw it on the track but i did the swift and the original ARB is just a kind of paper or plastic joke compared with the urpated ARB wich is supposed to do the job
ps: the swift is a hard job even with a bridge as you don’t have any access to the upper screw of the ARB alloy clamp
every time i changed something on my car, i think about the ideal size of fingers needed, i understand now the need to have a child
