Moroso or Accusump for a S2 n/a Exige?

Here’s the question…

Moroso or Accusump for a S2 n/a Exige?

Both options are available more or less for the same cost, one is taking a little boot space…but this is not worring me much really…

…technically wich one is best solution for avoiding lack of oil in track-day use of my Exige S2?

My engine is out now so it’s the right moment to do whatever is best…

thanks

I’ve had the Moroso pan on for 32,000 mi without issue…I know of no one who has had a problem with the pan…also I don’t know how many times if any that anyone has had the Accusump kick in…

Franky,

I’ve got the moroso sump on mine and think it’s the better option, especially if you ever wanted to return it to standard, just put the old sump back on.

Storage space is so limited anyway, don’t loose any more.

Best wishes with whichever option you go for.

Dave

I’ve got the Accusump. Works well even at very high G force venues. It is Lotus Sports recomendation.

You loose a bit of bootspace but it’s not the end of the world.

Hope you make the right choice for you.

Is there anyone who has monitored the Accusump to know when and if it’s flowing on demand…or if it’s even working ?

I fitted an oil pressure gauge with a tell tale warning light for low pressure instead of the moroso or the accusump. Never had any problems. Touch wood.

There is a definite plus for the accusump though, it pre oils the engine when the ignition is turned on.

That’s nice, I like lights but when it’s low in a high speed corner what are ya gonna do

I think if you keep your eye on your oil levels and always have them on the max line there are no problems

Evo is one of the fastest guys out there so it goes to show how a bad forum rumor can go around because of a few cars which were prob tracked which were low on oil.

it only has to be a mm down and thats about a litre.

My car always needed a small top up now and again.
And myself and EVo always stuck to the best stuff.

I did try and do a group buy for the Moroso when I still had mine and it was a great price but I just could not get 10 people to give a firm order.

If you wanted the extra margin of safty I would go the Moroso way, because the accu thing just looks like hassle when you want to change your oil.

Thanks guys…

Looks like I should go for the moroso way…
