As per the other thread narrowing on the sensible option for the family but I’ve only been doing about 4000 miles a year in the Clio 200 and now had it 3 years so might be an opportunity to get something older but a bit more special.

Budget up to 10K and must have 4 seats. Prefer it wasn’t a money pit but it’s only going to do a few thousand miles every year.

It was the Maserati comments on the other thread that made me realise it was time to do something a bit different.

I’m looking on PH for you Will…nothing worthy of you yet bud.

Dude you can live out your Maserati dream. I think these are super reliable and literally never go wrong ruinously ever…not ever.

You’re gonna like this…

Funnily enough just been looking at that as well  Been there done that though, had a couple of 1.9 GTIs including one stripped and caged for track use.

If it was a Maserati would have to be a 3200 with the Boomerang lights. I hear they are a model of reliability as well :astonished:

BMW M5 cars for sale - PistonHeads UK but would seem like I was copying someone on here.

Something like this would be fun if it would start on a cold morning:

Pretty sure the rest of the household would thing I’d gone nuts.

Yeah I was gonna suggest an E39. Don’t let the fact I’ve got one put you off  They are properly awesome cars,…happy cruising about but proper quick and lairy when the mood takes you. I love mine :sunglasses:

Sorry

Love that, been having bad thoughts of buying something similar

Yeah but not really a Mexico replica… Its just a Mk2 with alloys and twin 40’s

I had been looking at full on Mexicos and RS2000s, whilst a cheap imitation, still a nice car. Must be hard to find nice 2 doors shells these days

I still wish David (Mr Admin) had sold me his :frowning:

Will if you’re seriously considering a '39 you can borrow mine for a bit if you wanna see if it fits your needs. I do have one of the nicest in the country though so it might be a bit of an expensive move

Plenty of mk2 escorts being brought in from south Africa, as, etc with no rot. Chunk of money tho for something 30 plus years old with 90hp!

How about a Monaro? Late ones with the Corvette engine. Simply add a supercharger when it’s not quick enuf. And Ben may see the error of his ways!

Supercharger you say? Two can play at that game…

Click this if you need 600bhp :sunglasses:

Good call, I can actually see Will in this and its in budget!

Bolt a couple of seats for the kids in the Ute bid and you’re good to go…YEEEEHAAAWWW

That’s cool - a TME and its white :sunglasses:

They have some other nice stuff too.

Have you considered a JDM Honda Integra DC5 or Civic FD2?

Ben
That kit will probably cost as much as the whole car that John suggests!!

Pah! I laugh at your measley 600hp.
