I am happy owner of a Exige S.
I live in Mexico City which is at 7,000 ft over sea level. Therefore the PSI will never be around at 6 lb due to altitude (I can fell the difference when I bring the car at sea level… 250 miles away).
I basically use the car for track days. I have the following questions:
Does anyone know where I could find a smaller pulley?
Does the injectors hold the power level (Not too lean) if I bring the car at sea level, with the smaller pulley
If I put high performance exhust and decat how much PW I gain?
The Sector111 tune is the real deal “Cup 255” no need to change to a smaller pulley as there is no tune for it… The ecu corrects for alt…
If you really feel the need for a smaller pulley give wwwforcedfed.com a shout…Without proper tuning you’re own your own…
Frank,
Thanks a lot, if I use it at 7,000 ft with a smaller pulley I shouldn’t have a problem due to the altitude. What happens when I go to sea level, Are the injectors capable of the extra air at the sea level or would I have an extreme lean mixture?
There are no high alt. injectors as I said the ecu will make the proper corrections, I know this because I drive from sea level to 7,500ft and back down for fun on Sundays… The 255 cup tune opens the throttle fully, you will notice the difference at any alt… Unless you go to an A/W charge cooler do not change your pulley size, unless you have a built motor in your future plans…this is from first hand experience…
