Mixing pads

Phoned Questmead up today and they are all out of SBS rear pads, Alan says that SBS deliverys are slow and could be upto 3 months He suggested putting Mintex 1144’s on the rear.
So what do the gods think? I know most of the breaking force goes to the front so will I be able to tell? Car is mostly fast road use with the odd (one so far) trackday.

shouldn’t be too much issue, be fine.

Only thing you don’t want is the rears locking up before the fronts…But as your car has ABS that can’t happen anyway…
Should’nt be a problem in my opinion…Just be careful if disabling the ABS… Not that you would !

Now where did I put that fuse ?..

Ok so I should be safe, in theory the better pads are going on the front, so I am guessing they would lock first??
Also my friend with a 135R was going to buy them at the same time, will he have a problem as he has no ABS??

p.s. I really thought I was not going to like the ABS after two normal elises but its a cracking system and probably helps with my lack of talent

it really shouldnt be too much of a problem. with or without ABS very difficult to get the rears to lock.

if your rears have locked up then you are probably way too far past saving it from heading in the scenery already…

Now where did I put that fuse ?..

Ended up doing that with the “Frogmobile” @ Oulton this week to get the balance right (for me!)
