I never knew him other than by reputation and his brilliant pictures from Anglsey where it was also clear how much regard people had for him.

Funeral and Service of Thanksgiving will take place on Tuesday 24th May at 2.00pm in Warwickshire.
My thoughts are in Warwick today. 
Yes. God bless Mike. Anglesey is a lasting memory, I’m glad I was there.
I was tending to my Lotus today but thinking of Mike. A great man.
So glad I had a chat with Mike at Anglesey. He will be a huge loss.
I was stuck in Germany today but my thoughts were in Warks with Mike’s friends and family.
By all accounts the send off was special - Evora based coffin, lots of Lotus’, the man himself was apparently wearing a bespoke Lotus top, departed to The Chain (which clearly struck a cord as several mentioned it 
), etc.
There were a number from down South who couldn’t be there and having spoke Carol she is happy for us to arrange something in London, we discussed some ideas. So I’ll work on that with Ben in the coming days.
I’ve been away for a few weeks on holiday. On the 24th I was driving Route 66 in a convertible V8 Mustang, we visited the Unser family museum that day too, so I reckon Mike would have approved.
I’m also glad I managed to have a chat with him at Anglesey.
