I am so sick to hear what’s happened. Don’t give up on her. Take a break, sort the house, then come back to it. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts so much that you can’t let it end here.
Best wishes and good luck.

And those of us who plan to be owners!!

All the best George!

Just to echo the thoughts above George.

I really do feel for you as I’ve been there myself several times. A couple of fires and several nearly’s, I’m still amazed at the stuff mounted on the engine that has rattled loose over the years.

If it was ever easy it just wouldn’t be as satisfying would it…

Come on George. Keep at it. You will get it right in the end

+1
Hold on Mate!! And Good luck!
So sorry…
You’ve been making not only Yours dream car. That is the example of Exige S1 supercar as it should be.
I really wish You have described the aftermath too apocalyptically.
I wish so.

Damn, thats the worlds worst luck! Hopefully you’ll find it’s not badly damaged.

I had a mate who spent years building a show car, only for this to happen on the maiden voyage: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g58/vr6boy/mattsg60after.jpg

Yeah, put it away and wait till you get your mojo back.

You will get there in the end!

Don’t give up…be cool George.

Really feel for you George - hope damage isn’t too bad and you get your enthusiasm for this mega project back soon

Cheers Guys…

I’m sure I will in time… right now it’s just one kick in the guts too many.

Chin up, leave it a month or so you will be gagging to get it sorted

Terrible terrible luck, really sorry to hear this George. 2012’s a new year see what that brings.

Sorry to hear that.
Just read your thread. What an amazing car. Take a break, a deep breath, a barbie on the beach and regain your strength to finish the job.
PS Not on a par, but, I’ve just got contacted by NZ police via airmail for a speeding offence. +uck, your Police know how to charge don’t they? Still , east to west over the Corromandel penninsula, what a road!!(almost worth the fine)

You have my thoughts, not had as bad as you but been close with rebuilds where fate just keeps kicking you. Eventually it does come right and time is a good healer (well it slightly dulls the pain).

You have a very unique and special S1 there, keep with her and she will reward you well for all your work in the future.

Please George keep on going. Your work is so inspirating, whenever I have to check how the car should be assembled, your pictures are cristal clear. The first runs seemed promissing, don’t spoil a future hapiness driving the lady !
