Plenty of good offroad parking too. The trip there or back could be combined with a lakes pass or two (i.e. Newlands - Buttermere - Honister), or a longer southbound trip Winlatter - toward Cold Fell - toward Corney Fell.

24-26 is bank holiday weekend so roads might be pretty busy but how about weekend after?

Buga, bugga, bugga. Just started the car to find a leaking oil pipe directly above the crash structure. Car being transported to Phoenix late this afternoon, & I’m afraid Sunday is out for me too!
