Firstly I am new posting here but I have been lurking for a while. I would love an exige but for now I have a S2 135 sport
I have been looking into manifolds I have seem a fairly cheap second hand raceline 4-1 on ebay. Most people seem to says 4-2-1 is better, So why did raceline make the 4-1 and are they any good?
I don’t know the product concerned but it’s all about ‘tuned length’ so if the 4 into 1 has all four pipes the same length it will do the job. 4-2-1 allows more arty solutions, and probably better length, but I’m no expert…
one gives more low down torque, the other gives high end power, just don’t ask me which one does what!
A 4-2-1 gives more mid rasnge torque and overall a larger area under the torque curve. A 4-1 favours the very top end so in power runs the 4-1 appears to be a better bet because peak power is marginally higher, in fact, the opposite is true since it reduces the mid range.

Ah, Dave always knows, I knew it was one way around or the other
Thanks Dave
I will have to save up for a 4-2-1
any recommendations?
Did you by any chance buy that from Paul Mattys??? If so, a LOVELY car!
Nope had it for nearly three years
Rare car.
I nearly bought the one PM had, but direct from the owner last year.
