Making my exige into a race car

:sunglasses:^^^^^^^^^^ images please next time taking it off ^^^^^^^^^^^^ :sunglasses:

Second that, clam off in 20mins sounds awesome

Need to remove the followingā€¦

Hardtop (electric screw driver makes this very fast)
Both side vents (3 screws each side)
Split pins hold the rear diffuser on (2bular panel eliminator)
Petrol cap
3 thumb screws in the boot
2 thumb screws in the rollbar cover
2 thumb screws inside of the rear clam near the side vents
Battery terminals (if removing the clam)

Now with the clam tilted up you have nothing to rest on while working on the engineā€¦say good bye to your lower backā€¦
My rear is solid and cannot be removed without a saw, there is really no reason to remove the clam since the engine/gearbox can come out from the bottomā€¦

Surely they have Sennapods in the USA? So much crap comes out of there*ā€¦present company excepted, of course, Frankie

  • According to Wikileaks

Cheer Nick it must make life loads easier (gearbox, engine and age aside, just kidding ), little things I guess. Where and how much mate IYDM?

yes it is true I do have a solid rear endā€¦Please donā€™t be a haterā€¦

The cheek

Is it just half your arse that is solid then Frank? What about the other cheek?

ā€¦does make the gearbox somewhat easier to access

Canā€™t take the credit for installation, previous owner installed the kit. I think its th BOE fabrication kit - not cheap BOE Fabrication

To be honest I was thinking of removing the hinges. Replacing some of the fittings with thumb screws is all that needed really to make the clam removal considerably quicker - Use to take me 3+ hours with my vx220 by the time I removed the seats, rear bulkhead and found the various hidden fixtures!

Majority of the fittings are replaced with fittings similar to theseā€¦

wowwā€¦nice
