Make an (aspiration) 2017 Fleet Adjustment

Randomly last Autumn in the recesses of Southwest Scotland I was ‘making good progress’ to the inlaws through some twisties in the S1 and came across a 4c in white coming the other direction. I like think we both double took at the unusual sight and common DNA as we flashed past each other. It looked much better than I had imagined on the road.

Currently looking for a new 4x4, Range Rover vogue has done 60k in 2 years and has been handed down to the Mrs, so have been looking for a replacement. Whilst I’ve never been a fan of the Q7 I do like the look of the SQ7 (black styling pack), and went to Audi yesterday to look a bit harder. It doesn’t have the gravitas of the vogue but its got plenty of grunt and very comfortable to sit in which is essential given the miles I do.

The problem with letting the wife out with a credit card…first purchase of the year made. A new caR

It was really only gonna end one way…

1M gone (gonna regret that I know) but now have some serious AMG heavy-weaponry on my drive. A radically different proposition to the BMW, but at least the whole family fit in it. Warp-speed please Mr Zulu

Anyone else made real their 2017 fleet adjustments yet apart from me and Graeme?

Well, it looks like the decision for the RS3 to go has also been made, going to downsize, it is just overkill for driving to the station!

Maybe gives me an option for a change in track car, not sure when that might happen, but I’m looking for the right car, first 2 weren’t the right cars for me, I can hang on though as I’m sure the Clio is going to work out to be a great car in the short term.

I know this is heresy on a Lotus forum

but! the Pork Panam estate looks the absolute dogs tackle :open_mouth: !!

I’m with you Simon. Not a big fan of the Panam but I like that Estate,…that’s my kinda family wagon. Oh hold on! The top end turbo only has 542bhp. These days I have a 585bhp minimum requirement, my kids aren’t getting any smaller ya know

haha

new E has 603hp and switchable 4x4 to RWD
