Ok need some advice/opinions, went to the lotus sport open day on saturday with junks and whilst there i was relieved of some cash ended up buying a carbon fibre roof, grp motorsport engine cover, carbon front lower overcill sections, and a 3 piece motorsport rear clam.
The dilema is what colour to paint everything?? my car is currently nautilus blue, bought it knowing full well it needed a respray, options areā
-repsray the new grp bits nautilus and keep all the carbon bits bare
-repsray the new clam nautilus, the engine cover black, bare carbon roof
-respray the new whole car black leaving the carbon bits bare.
may i suggest what i wish i had done with the exact same problem.
a wrap! 800-1400 quid depending where you go. can wax like paint, can replace sections as an when they get heavily battered by stones. it protects the origional paint work and most places will warrent the vynil comin off without damagin the paint. you can also re wrap when bored of the colour.
and my choice would be matt black! with matt wheels. gloss black stripes and lotus exige stickers!
its cheap, it will take 2 days to do, u can repair it cheap n quick tooā¦whats not to like.
